PLUMBING REPAIRS

From crack PVC lines and broken valves to corrod unions and failing fittings pool plumbing problems affect flow, pressure, and water loss. We locate the fault and repair it correctly, whether it’s above ground or buried beneath your deck.

Pool plumbing problems rarely stay contain. A leaking underground line saturates the surrounding soil, erodes support beneath your deck and coping, and can cause significant structural movement over time. Above-ground leaks at the equipment pad waste water continuously and accelerate corrosion on nearby components. Neither should be left unaddress .

POOL PLUMBING REPAIRS — ABOVE & BELOW GROUND

Pool plumbing consists of a close system of PVC pipes, valves, fittings, and unions that circulate water from the pool to the equipment and back. The system operates under continuous pressure and faces heat cycling, chemical-laden water, ground movement, and UV degradation over many years. These stresses gradually crack components, cause joint seals to fail, and corrode or seize valves, all of which reduce the system’s efficiency and, in many cases, lead to water loss that compounds daily.

At Pool Tech USA, we repair all aspects of pool plumbing from above-ground equipment pad leaks that are visible and immediately accessible, to buried suction and return lines that require pressure testing and precision excavation to reach. We work with schedule 40 and schedule 80 PVC, CPVC, and flex pipe, and we carry the fittings, unions, valves, and repair couplings need to complete most plumbing repairs in a single visit.

Where Pool Plumbing Problems Occur

Equipment Pad

Unions, valves, pump connections, filter tank fittings, and heater inlet and outlet lines sit above ground and remain easily accessible. These points commonly leak and are the easiest to repair, often allowing technicians to fix them in a single visit without excavation.

Underground Return & Suction Lines

PVC lines buried beneath the deck carry water between the pool and the equipment pad. Cracks from ground movement, root intrusion, or age are located by pressure testing and, where need, electronic detection minimising excavation.

Skimmer & Main Drain Lines

The suction lines running from the skimmer and main drain to the pump operate under negative pressure and can draw in air if cracks develop, which causes loss of prime, poor circulation, and gurgling in the pump basket.

Valves & Actuators

Multiport valves, diverter valves, check valves, and actuator-controlled valves all degrade over time. Seized valves restrict flow, failed check valves allow backflow, and cracked diverter valves leak at the stem all repairable without replacing the full pipe run.

Diagnosing Plumbing Problems Correctly

The most common sign of a plumbing issue is visible water loss at a fitting or joint. Another indicator is reduce circulation that cannot be explain by a dirty filter or a failing pump.

Before starting any repairs, we inspect the entire plumbing system. This includes checking all above-ground components visually. We also test system pressure with the pump running and turn off. When needed, we isolate individual lines to identify the affect section.

For underground line faults, each line is pressure-test separately.

If a line loses pressure, it confirms a leak. We then use electronic acoustic detection equipment to locate the exact fault along the pipe. This allows us to open only a small section of ground instead of digging the entire line. As a result, disruption to your deck, landscaping, and hardscape is minimize.

If valves are failing, we determine the cause. In many cases, the issue is a worn O-ring or seal, which can be repaire in place. However, if the valve body is crack or seize, a full replacement is require. Most service vehicles carry common valve types and repair kits, allowing us to complete repairs the same day.

Pool Tech USA provides plumbing repairs for both residential and commercial properties. We serve Brea, Yorba Linda, Fullerton, Placentia, Anaheim, and Corona. If your pool is losing water, has reduce flow, or a leaking fitting, don’t wait. Call us, and we’ll get it resolve quickly.
